Retirement: Just around the corner!

Well, we have set a date to retire! In just 785 days we will leave the working world! Both of us are so ready! On that date, we will put our house on the market and spend then next 6 months selling the house, buying a house in Kansas City, Missouri. All the while, we will also buy an Airstream and get ready to travel for 6 months! In April 2017 we will set off for your travel adventure, starting with Alaska! Well, at least those are our plans right now. We will see how it actually goes and what twists and turns we take along the way.

We have a lot to do to get the house ready to sell. We have to finish the baseboard downstairs, spruce up the kitchen cabinets and put new pulls on them. Also have to put in new back splash and counter tops. Then we have the downstairs bathroom to do... just patch and paint the walls and put new vanity top on. Tom needs to also finish the built-in cabinets in the living room. Then, it's just fixing the nail pops in the bedrooms upstairs. It's a lot!
